GROUP ACTIVITIES IN THE DEPARTMENT OF ZOOLOGY TO AUGMENT LOVE AND LEARNING OF ANIMALS.
The BSc Zoology students are encouraged to engage in group activities rearing animals for more than two semesters. Maintaining ornamental fishes in the departmental aquaria, rearing rabbits or guinea pigs in cages, maintaining an aviary with love birds, managing a vermicomposting unit and preparing vermicompost, maintain a small pond with ornamental fishes, aquarium plants and frogs are some of the activities. The activities instill a love of animals and encourage the students to observe the animals and their behaviour and enhance learning in an interesting manner.
